Greetings Daniel!
Do you think people waxed nostalgic when they gave up cave paintings or chisel and tablet in favor of the book? How dare they put these important words on such a thin page that can easily be torn and destroyed by the elements!
Nobody says that e-books will replace traditional books but what I do notice is that as we put more words and copy on websites and e-books and other digital technology the paper-based book technology is allowing artists like Dennis to explore the book as an art form in new ways. As McLuhan said, "...the medium is the message" so now we can all take time to explore the meaning of the form not just the content housed in the form.
